Community Impact through Collaboration

Leadership Inc., Our non-profit operates through the Multi-Sector Collaborative and Systemic Capacity Building approach we empower families in:

 

Parent Leadership Training- addressing the underrepresentation of BIPOC families in positions of influence. By expanding the capacity of parents as change agents for children and families to  bring about systems change so that parents increasingly are engaged in policy and process decisions;

Violence Intervention- promoting education and development goals that align with participants’ needs and interests to reduce violence in communities and in families.

Advocacy- Create a mobilization effort to raise awareness of the problem, build bridges between the community and systems to change practices and policies governing response to communities and families facing violence.

Women’s Supports -peer-led support group for women focusing on a woman’s whole life, addressing her experiences with domestic violence/ sexual abuse &lived experience and seeing how these issues are connected to her parenting, her self-image, and her economic and educational opportunities.
